Overview

Objective of the Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist (Southeast Region)

The primary goal is to collaborate with Managing Partners (MP), Associate Managing Agents (AMA), and designated Multi-line Farm Bureau agents within the sales territory to develop and implement a proactive sales strategy aimed at enhancing the company's market presence in commercial insurance within the region. This role involves direct engagement with Farm Bureau agents and solicitors to secure and maintain profitable commercial accounts while serving as a representative for Farm Bureau's commercial insurance products.



Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist (Southeast Region)

Engage in a diverse range of activities designed to boost production and service efficiency for agents involved in commercial property/casualty markets, while also encouraging more agents to participate in these markets.

Provide direct sales support to agents in the region through prospecting, analyzing data, preparing proposals, conducting joint sales calls, and facilitating the closing and implementation of cases.

Encourage commercial property/casualty sales in the region by organizing and participating in partnership meetings.

Collaborate with the Commercial Sales Support and Commercial Service Center teams to manage ongoing service requirements for commercial accounts in conjunction with agents and their teams.

Work alongside agents in the assigned territory to enhance their commercial production and understanding of Farm Bureau's offerings, market focus, and competitive standing in the commercial insurance sector.

Coordinate with regional MPs and AMAs to set and achieve growth, profitability, risk concentration, and retention objectives for the designated area.

Assist agents in the region with accounts that necessitate specialized or technical support, including underwriting, insurance coverage programming, and competitive analysis.

Educate and train agents not partnered with a Commercial Marketing Partner on the technical aspects and sales strategies relevant to the commercial property/casualty markets, providing guidance on best practices to foster confidence in commercial product placement.

Partner with the assigned Commercial Marketing Partner to conduct seminars and workshops, both virtually and in-person, at the partnership level. Prepare and deliver presentations at training sessions for agents, including new agent onboarding during their initial years.

Annually advise assigned agents on commercial growth strategies that align with regional and company-wide performance objectives.

Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by engaging in advanced educational programs and reviewing current publications to stay informed about developments impacting commercial sales.

Collaborate with internal business units (underwriting/products & forms/risk management/claims) to identify opportunities, provide competitive insights, and advocate for agents and insured clients.

Establish and nurture relationships with Farm Bureau Partners Group, becoming proficient in their systems and processes to assist Multi-Line agents in placing Commercial Business.

Support the Community Service Acceptance Company (CSAC) FB Partners Group in exploring new markets, products, and services to enhance the Farm Bureau Insurance portfolio and drive future sales growth.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications for the Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist (Southeast Region)

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or finance is required, with equivalent experience considered.

A minimum of five years of experience in commercial sales or underwriting, with a strong understanding of commercial or farm lines in the small to middle market, is essential.

Experience in the commercial or farm insurance marketplace is required.

Preferred Qualifications

A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary. CIC designation is preferred.

Note: This position primarily allows for remote work.
