ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II (Days) to join our team at St. John Hospital. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests on blood, tissues, and other bodily fluids to aid in the diagnosis of diseases and conditions. They will also interpret lab test results, identify abnormalities, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of these results.
Additionally, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist II will be responsible for monitoring quality control procedures, maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment, and keeping accurate and detailed records of all laboratory tests performed and their results.
QualificationsEducation, Experience, and Training
- ASCP certification or equivalent, or specialized military training in laboratory science required
- Two years of hospital laboratory work experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technician from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)
- Current and valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required
