We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at the U.S. Department of the Interior. As a Hydrology Specialist, you will be responsible for performing engineering analyses, modeling, and data analysis to support water resource management and planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support water resource planning and management
  • Develop and maintain models to simulate hydrologic and hydraulic systems
  • Analyze data and produce summary reports to inform decision-making
  • Participate in technical studies and projects related to hydrologic and water resource engineering
  • Develop and implement project plans to manage and coordinate technical studies and projects
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in hydrologic and water resource engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with modeling and simulation software
  • Knowledge of water resource management and planning principles
  • Experience working with federal agencies or government organizations
