Job Title: Lead Power BI Developer

Saxon Global is seeking a highly skilled Lead Power BI Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support business objectives and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support business objectives and decision-making processes.
  • Formulate and recommend standards for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the Data Warehouse.
  • Participate in the planning for retirement of systems programs and migration of systems infrastructure.
  • Develop business cases and ROI for departmental initiatives to gain buy-in from senior management.
  • Interview stakeholders and develop a BI roadmap for success, considering project prioritization and budget.
  • Evangelize self-service BI and visual discovery, promoting a culture shift from Excel-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with the DW manager to ensure prioritization of corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the department, designing and promoting best practices.
  • Provide technical assistance and on-the-job training to DW team members, as well as external team members to foster stronger cross-departmental relations.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience delivering business intelligence solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience with BI Technology: SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, Power BI.
  • Strong data modeling and analysis experience.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • BI Platform replacement experience.
  • Proficiency in DAX formulas and measures.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles/methodologies, including Agile.
  • Strong presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate job requirements and create formal documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Computer Science or Statistics preferred.
  • Big 5 experience is a plus.
