Position: Financial Operations Manager at Baldwin Real Estate Corporation
The Financial Operations Manager oversees the fiscal management of Baldwin Real Estate Corporation's diverse portfolio, which includes both commercial and residential properties. This role is pivotal within the Baldwin finance department, focusing on maintaining accurate property ledgers, conducting variance analyses, and managing recovery pools for commercial assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct a team within Baldwin's accounting division, offering support to the Controller by coordinating resources from various operational, accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable personnel.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and scrutinize accounting records, including financial statements and reports, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards. Investigate and rectify discrepancies in the property portfolio prepared by accounting staff.
- Compile summary reports detailing cash requirements for individual properties.
- Develop monthly financial reporting packages that include variance analysis and other insights for management regarding the property portfolio.
- Maintain and evaluate quarterly financial packages for banking institutions.
- Assist external CPA firms with annual tax obligations for the properties.
- Collaborate with commercial property managers to establish and uphold recovery pools for multiple properties, and review billings for commercial assets.
- Work alongside Residential Property Managers to formulate annual budgets.
- Supervise payroll processing and allocation across various entities, ensuring proper management of benefits allocation.
- Manage the period close process for various MRI modules, including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Cash Management.
- Provide assistance to the accounting team with MRI software.
- Contribute to additional departmental projects as needed.
- Perform any other essential tasks as directed by management.
Educational Requirements/Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is essential. CPA or CMA certifications are highly regarded.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and auditing principles is required. Previous experience in commercial and residential real estate is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and MRI or similar accounting software is expected.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $85,000 annually
