Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Michaels Stores. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a cash register, handling customer transactions, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer service areas
  • Assist with merchandise recovery, including restocking shelves, facing merchandise, and maintaining store displays
  • Participate in visual merchandising, including creating visually appealing store displays and maintaining a consistent store image
  • Support sales floor activities, including assisting customers with product information and making recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
