Job Description

As a Production Supervisor at Aerotek, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to shift personnel to meet production requirements. You will review inventory and production levels to make recommendations and adjustments to maintain an efficient balance. Additionally, you will fill in for other Maintenance Production Supervisors when required due to vacation, off-site meetings, and absenteeism. You will uniformly enforce and apply company policies and procedures to maintain fair and consistent work practices. Furthermore, you will provide honest, objective, and specific feedback to crew leaders and production team members to clearly understand improvement opportunities. You will serve as a facilitator, when needed, to maintain the group's focus and provide necessary resources. You will ensure that published processing specifications (SOPs) and quality control tests are followed and recommendations for improvement are vetted and implemented when appropriate. You will monitor defect and downtime causes and provide feedback and recommendations to the Value Stream Managers so sustainable corrective actions can be implemented. You will provide clear, consistent direction relative to maintaining and enhancing a safe work environment for all employees, visitors, and contractors. You will ensure incident reports are completed accurately and timely, and that the information is posted to the designated electronic database and shared across all shifts and, when appropriate, all operations. You will lead and conduct EH&S Awareness and Authorized Safety Trainings in a timely manner according to the prescribed schedule. You will utilize lean manufacturing tools to identify and drive continuous improvement. You will coordinate gathering and dissemination of information for the production team with other functional groups such as Maintenance, Production Scheduling, Shipping, R&D, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Human Resources. You will partner with the shift maintenance team to understand downtime related maintenance requirements and help prioritize urgently needed production equipment repair.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The plant has a Class 1, Division 1 rating, working in a dirty and dusty environment with potential dust explosions. The position requires rotating 1st/2nd shift, rotating weekly: 7:00am-3:30pm one week, 3:00pm-11:30pm the next week.
