Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Supervisor / Benefits Administrator to join our team at Walker Bowen Talent Partners. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer employee benefits, including pension plans, health insurance, life insurance, and long-term disability insurance.
  • Supervise the administration of 401k plans, flexible spending plans, and short-term disability plans.
  • Process payroll, including bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliation of payroll withholding and accrual accounts.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly payroll funding reports and monthly workers' compensation and short-term disability standard journal entries.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing special projects and continually looking for ways to improve productivity within the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and ability to communicate effectively with employees, insurance agencies, and vendor representatives.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with prior experience in reading and writing complex documents.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and demographic backgrounds, with a focus on maintaining confidentiality and prioritizing tasks.
