We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our team at US1225 FreshPoint Connecticut, LLC.

Job Summary

This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting the company's fresh produce products and services to existing and new customers in the Boston, Massachusetts area. The main focus is to help FreshPoint customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities with current and potential clients to drive profitable sales growth within assigned territory.
  • Research customer business needs and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs, including recommendations on product offerings and services.
  • Evaluate market trends and provide valuable insights to customers to support their business objectives.
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product use.
  • Provide product information and training to customer personnel.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; ensure timely collection of all balances due based on approved credit terms.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process.
  • Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and events.
  • Attend and participate in general sales and district meetings.
  • Engage in ongoing training sessions to stay up-to-date on company products and services.
  • Assist with the training of new employees as requested.
  • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice industry or related field.
  • 1 year of outside sales experience preferred.
  • Restaurant management/chef experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current automobile insurance with liability limits.
  • Pass pre-employment testing (Drug Screen, Background Check) and sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
  • Reside or willing to relocate to the geographical vicinity of the territory.

Our competitive base salary for this role is $65,000, plus bonus and promotional incentive opportunities. We also offer mileage reimbursement, cell phone provided, career pathing opportunities, and a robust benefits package including an Employee Stock Purchase Plan and 401(k) with automatic matching.
