Job Title: Principal Test Development Engineer

Raytheon Careers is seeking a highly skilled Principal Test Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Sensor Test Solutions department, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced test platforms and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop test equipment and systems for various programs within Raytheon.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure smooth deployment of test systems.
  • Lead development of test hardware, software, and/or firmware through its development cycle.
  • Identify test readiness issues and optimizations through the development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical leadership to employees and engage in personal technical growth.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in an engineering design and development environment with 4+ years direct experience with Test Equipment design and development tasks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued (Secret) security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with National Instruments' TestStand, LabWindows/CVI, and/or LabVIEW.
  • Digital, and/or Analog, and/or RF, and/or power supply test hardware design experience.
  • Use of Commercial Test and Measurement Equipment.
  • VXI/VME/MXI/PXI/CompactPCI Application Development.
  • CMMI and 6 Sigma Experience.
