Your Role:

In this position, you will contribute to the Department of Defense's mission readiness by ensuring that both personnel and equipment are equipped to execute critical operations. The shift from traditional fossil fuels to electric HVAC systems is essential for achieving sustainability goals. Your expertise will help identify energy resilience deficiencies and facilitate the development of projects that align with mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess energy vulnerabilities at military installations and propose comprehensive solutions.
  • Evaluate all facets of energy and climate resilience, including electrical, mechanical, water, fuel, and communication systems.
  • Explore renewable energy options to enhance traditional generation methods.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to provide actionable recommendations for system improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering applications.
  • Proficient in mechanical system design and engineering methodologies.
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure, including HVAC systems and renewable technologies such as geothermal and wind.
  • Experience in developing and analyzing requirements for complex energy systems.
  • Ability to travel between 25-50% of the time.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in assessing the condition of energy infrastructure.
  • Background in designing, building, or maintaining electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with federal government and Department of Defense operations.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as NFPA 70 and IEEE.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with diverse client stakeholders.
  • EIT Certification is a plus.
