Position Overview

The Electrical Estimator Coordinator at BLS Electrical Inc is tasked with the essential role of orchestrating and formulating precise cost assessments for electrical undertakings. This position necessitates a thorough examination of project specifications and collaboration with various teams to ensure that all estimates adhere to organizational standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calculate the comprehensive costs associated with materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for electrical construction initiatives.
  • Investigate electrical project documentation and scrutinize specifications.
  • Develop estimates for the planning, organization, and scheduling of electrical project activities.
  • Oversee pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
  • Generate estimates that align with project timelines, including work hour allocation, task sequencing, material procurement, and securing advantageous agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance of all estimates with company protocols and client specifications.
  • Guarantee that pertinent documents and budgets are submitted prior to bid deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates to management and keep clients informed about project progress.
  • Devise contingency strategies and effectively manage potential risks that could affect cost and time projections.
  • Stay informed about the latest estimating technologies and industry methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other departments and conduct site assessments as necessary.
Qualifications and Educational Background
  • At least 2 years of experience in electrical estimating.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or completion of a postsecondary electrician training program is advantageous.
  • Experience in the construction sector is essential.
  • Familiarity with Intellibid is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Compensation

Salary range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00
