Key Responsibilities:
The faculty member will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging and effective instruction in both classroom and practical skill lab settings, utilizing student-centered learning methodologies.
  • Organizing and supervising Paramedic laboratory sessions, ensuring a high standard of educational delivery.
  • Creating and maintaining course materials in an online learning management system.
  • Timely submission of grades and course syllabi, while maintaining accurate records of attendance and academic performance.
  • Teaching at various times, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with external regulatory standards.
  • Assisting in the upkeep and management of Paramedic instructional equipment utilized on and off campus.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant healthcare discipline from an accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current certification as a Paramedic in Colorado.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in emergency medical services, with a solid understanding of hospital and EMS protocols.
  • Completion of a course in adult education or demonstrated experience in teaching adults.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Eligibility for a full-time, post-secondary vocational credential in Health Science Technology from Aims Community College.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience in a community college teaching environment, including curriculum development and alternative instructional methods.
  • Experience in clinical and laboratory instruction.
