Job Summary

Telecare is seeking a highly skilled Regional Health Information Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Information Management Services department, you will be responsible for supporting the functions of Clinical Information Management Services and ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity in our health information management processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor documentation quality and timeliness for programs in your region, developing and monitoring performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Partner with Quality Managers to conduct internal audits (rounding) of programs within your region and assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans.
  • Lead HIM to process improvement from inception to final resolution.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of technicians and coordinators responsible for health information quality and integrity.
  • Provide support to assigned regions for quality reporting, regulatory compliance, EHR application support, and HIM startup implementations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policy and procedures governing health information and medical records to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and accreditation standards.
  • Support HIM Compliance and privacy and quality programs throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
  • Minimum of six years of experience in the management of behavioral health clinical records across all levels of care, including acute, subacute, inpatient, and skilled nursing and community programs.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory and Accreditations Requirements, including HIPAA, CMS, CMIA, LPS, OBRA, JCC, and CARF.
  • Working knowledge of external reporting requirements, where applicable.
  • Knowledge of various EHR and Hybrid Record Systems and Conversions.
  • Experience in small to mid-size hospitals/facilities.
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Consulting experience in all aspects of HIM Management.
  • Knowledge of information systems and healthcare applications, in addition to database applications and report writing.
  • Experience in quality management and education.
Skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and Outlook, as well as experience in multiple billing platforms.
