The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in contract management, client relations, and negotiations for large-scale projects, preferably in construction, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field.
This is a full-time, hybrid position, requiring the candidate to live in or near the New York metropolitan area.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the procurement process for professional and general services, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines.
- Manage vendor evaluations and selection, negotiate contracts, and maintain documentation.
- Guide staff and stakeholders on procurement strategies and requirements.
- Lead in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and procurement documents.
- Head negotiations and prepare supplementary agreements, covering scope, pricing, and contract closeout.
- Review change orders and cost proposals for compliance, perform cost analysis, and develop negotiation strategies.
- Execute tasks using ERP system and maintain accurate contract records.
- Support audits of procurement files to ensure regulatory compliance and identify improvement areas.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external parties.
- Help resolve contract-related issues and stay updated on relevant laws and industry trends.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Public Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in contract management, client relations, and negotiations for large-scale projects, preferably in construction.
- Skilled in independently negotiating complex contractual issues.
- Proven ability to manage and direct work in complex situations.
- Preferred experience in rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil construction.
- Must pass a high-level TWIC and/or SWAC background check.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
