Position Overview

The Senior Video Investment Strategist plays a pivotal role in executing strategic initiatives, which include negotiating media purchases and assessing the implementation of allocation and billing tools to ensure a seamless transition from acquisition to broadcast. This position also involves mentoring and guiding Managers and Associates in their respective responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate media buys for cable networks
  • Develop comprehensive recommendation documents
  • Produce and present position papers on critical issues and opportunities
  • Oversee brand allocations and corporate ownership
  • Manage Tardiis allocations effectively
  • Address billing discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate input of schedules
  • Create documentation for operational oversight
  • Assist in post-buy analysis
  • Evaluate ADU packages
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in media, with a preference for national broadcast; experience in online video is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in quantitative analysis and mathematics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Technical expertise with tools such as:
  • Mediaocean, MBOX
  • Nielsen Net Rating, Comscore, AdRelevance, eMarketer, Forrester, etc.
  • Third-party ad measurement and traffic tools (e.g., Integral Ad Science)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong negotiation skills due to the high volume of media purchases
  • Familiarity with the advertising industry is beneficial but not mandatory
Additional Information

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Compensation Range: $91,000-$144,000 annually. This is the anticipated pay range for this position at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on the applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, and the company reserves the right to adjust this pay range as necessary. Benefits include medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
