Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Field Specialist to join our team at HNTB. As a key member of our Construction Services Group, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with engineering and architectural plans and specifications on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project schedule, contract documents, and plans.
  • Verify that procedures are followed and materials used conform to specifications.
  • Advise contractor superintendents on necessary actions to ensure conformance with plans, specs, and contract.
  • Review and resolve quantity disputes with contractors.
  • Perform on-site material testing and assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Assist with as-built record drawings and contract close-out documentation.
  • Participate in construction schedule reviews, contractor pay estimate reviews, and change order management.
  • Attend and participate in project progress meetings as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field and 10 years of relevant experience, or
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Services, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience on Sound Transit projects.
  • Experience on parking garage construction.
  • Experience on design-build projects.
What We Offer

HNTB offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $188,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and actual compensation will be dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
