This position plays a crucial role in managing student enrollment for AFMS courses across all Army components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the enrollment process for students in AFMS courses.
  • Manage the quota system for the Structure Manning Decision Review (SMDR) and Training Arbitration Panel (TRAP).
  • Prepare and distribute welcome letters to incoming students.
  • Maintain and update class rosters efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Course Directors to facilitate all activities related to student registration.
  • Process Exception to Policy (ETP) requests as necessary.
  • Track and report school throughput statistics by course on a regular basis.

Registrar Duties Include:

  • Act as the organization's Registrar, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Operate and maintain the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) AFMS account.
  • Coordinate registration practices to support Army accreditation in accordance with DoD and Army policies.
  • Keep Registrar's certification documentation current.
  • Analyze class status across various categories (component, rank, grade, qualifications, etc.).
  • Provide input to the SMDR and TRAP processes annually.
  • Prepare briefings and reports regarding registration activities as required.
  • Contribute to the AFMS Admin Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for Registration.
  • Manage ETP requests for qualifying students.
  • Coordinate class throughput with Course Directors during Course Design Reviews.
  • Maintain accountability of current and former students using ATRRS.
  • Work with training developers on Course Administrative Data (CAD).
  • Oversee school withdrawal processes and recycled student actions.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator on class rosters.
  • Engage with Army units regarding SMDR, TRAP, and student attendance.
  • Coordinate with the Army National Guard Training Division for student registration in the Army National Guard Force Management Course.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science fields.

Required Experience:

  • Two to three years of experience as the primary Registrar in an Army School or commercial educational institution.
  • Familiarity with Additional Skill Identifiers (ASI): 6R, A3, and 3R.
  • Two to three years of experience within the ATRRS environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Three to four years of experience as the principal registrar in an Army School or commercial educational institution.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and prepare staffing actions to a high standard.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
