Position Overview

Compensation:
$21.14 per hour based on experience.


We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who will respond to both emergency and non-emergency medical situations, providing exceptional care and support to patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments to determine necessary medical interventions and deliver emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, conditions, and treatments while ensuring confidentiality and respect for patient rights.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment for patient care.
  • Utilize EMT skills effectively, including communication, medical equipment handling, and adherence to cleaning protocols.
  • Operate an ambulance in compliance with company safety standards and traffic regulations pertaining to emergency medical response.
  • Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs.

Additional Duties:

  • Engage in community outreach programs to enhance the organization's image and foster strong community relations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid State EMT License.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • BLS, NREMT certification.
  • Driving record that meets company standards.
  • Successful completion of the Physical Agility Test.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
Availability to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. May involve extended periods inside an ambulance, with potential exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Routine exposure to moderate noise levels and occasionally working in low-light environments while in a moving vehicle.
Physical demands include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive motions. Ability to lift over 200 lbs. with assistance, as well as pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, carrying, typing, and climbing stairs. Visual identification of color-coded items and clear communication skills are essential. Must be able to wear a face mask or respirator for extended periods when necessary.
