Job Title: Host/Hostess

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host/Hostess to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Haymarket. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire dining experience.

Job Summary:

The Host/Hostess will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, ensuring a quality dining experience, and supervising the activities of the dining room. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the dining room, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
  • Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and the kitchen to ensure timely and synchronized service
  • Ensure all menus are clean and complete, and that entry doors are clean and inviting
  • Check with the kitchen to verify menu items are readily available and plan out the seating chart and organize reservations for the evening
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Three to six months of experience in a food and beverage services environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to lift, push, carry, and stand for long periods of time
