About the Organization: We are a leading healthcare provider in Knoxville, TN, dedicated to enhancing patient care through effective financial management. We are currently in search of a committed Healthcare Accounts Receivable Coordinator to oversee and optimize our medical billing and collections processes.

Position Summary: In the role of Healthcare Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing the accounts receivable cycle, ensuring prompt and precise collection of outstanding payments, while delivering outstanding service to both patients and insurance providers. This position presents a contract-to-hire opportunity, paving the way for potential long-term career advancement within our organization.

Key Duties:

  • Analyze and monitor accounts receivable aging reports to pinpoint and address overdue accounts.
  • Engage with patients and insurance entities to follow up on unpaid balances.
  • Accurately process and record payments, adjustments, and denials.
  • Investigate and resolve billing and collections discrepancies, including correcting errors.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of collection activities and patient communications.
  • Collaborate with various departments to rectify billing issues and ensure accurate claims submissions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and support to patients regarding their financial accounts and payment arrangements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in medical collections or accounts receivable within a healthcare environment.
  • In-depth understanding of medical billing protocols and insurance procedures.
  • Strong communication abilities and the capacity to manage sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage multiple responsibilities.

Compensation Details: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
