CME Group is seeking highly motivated and talented students to join our Technology Internship Program. As a UIUC Cohort Technology Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced technology teams to develop and maintain ultra-low-latency electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and front-end trading interfaces.

Our Technology Internship Program offers students the chance to learn more about CME Group's business, our role in the financial industry, and the types of technology that keep our markets running. You will develop both your technical skills and expand your network with access to industry experts, while working alongside other talented and ambitious students with a passion for FinTech.

As a UIUC Cohort Technology Intern, you will be working in one of three areas/roles: Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Data Engineer. Each role offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow with CME Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain ultra-low-latency electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and front-end trading interfaces
  • Work alongside experienced technology teams to design, build, and deploy customer-focused solutions
  • Collaborate with other talented and ambitious students with a passion for FinTech

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign
  • Studying Computer Science or a related field or relevant experience
  • Experience writing code in Java or Python
  • A passion for problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience with Cloud Technologies
