Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Medicaid Managed Care Liaison to join our team at Abbott House. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with Medicaid Managed Care Plans to ensure that foster care children receive timely and effective healthcare services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with MCO Foster Care Liaisons to facilitate smooth transitions and enrollments.
  • Work closely with Primary Care Physicians to update patient information and ensure continuity of care.
  • Create and distribute Welcome letters, secure plan IDs, and handle ID card replacements.
  • Negotiate Single Case Agreements for out-of-network placements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a medical or social services office environment.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, Electronic Health Records, and typing software.
  • Understanding of NYS Child Welfare protocols and organizational skills.
