Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Home Visitor Specialist to join our team at Northside Center for Child Development. In this critical role, you will be responsible for working closely with families and their young children in the comfort of their own homes, providing support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Home Visitor Specialist, you will be working directly with parents and caregivers to assess, plan, and deliver activities designed to support children's developmental milestones. You will conduct home visits to facilitate the delivery of all Head Start component areas, including screening and ongoing assessment, implementing designated home-based program curricula, and ensuring regular communication with families regarding screenings, assessments, and surveys.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and enroll children and families from various segments of the community to ensure full enrollment and waitlists of assigned home-based programs.
  • Conduct home visits to facilitate the delivery of all Head Start component areas, including screening and ongoing assessment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct group socializations and trainings for children and families according to family needs assessment.
  • Ensure timely completion of scheduled reports and mandated reporting in a confidential manner.
  • Partner with families to identify child and family needs and appropriate ways of meeting those needs through family goals and referrals.
Qualifications:
  • AAS degree in Social Service, Child Development, or related field.
  • Home Visitor Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to navigate complex situations.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $40,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
