LSI Industries, a leading provider of advanced lighting, graphics, and display solutions, is seeking a talented Human Resources Generalist to join its team in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level, working closely with senior HR management to support designated geographic regions. Key functional areas include benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

  • Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Administer the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
  • Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring accurate calculations for wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Develop and maintain an affirmative action program; file EEO-1 reports annually; and maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conduct recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing programs; and write and place advertisements.
  • Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Adequate knowledge of HR principles, practices, and laws; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Access, Ultimate Software, Time Clock, Intuitive, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $75,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
