About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sportsbook Operations Manager to join our team at FanDuel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the sportsbook team and ensuring the smooth operation of our sportsbook facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sportsbook Manager in identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to drive performance growth
  • Lead the sportsbook team in the absence of the Sportsbook Manager and ensure that all team members are working to a high standard
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure that they are delivering excellent customer service
  • Build strong relationships with customers and create a positive experience that drives customer retention
  • Assist with and lead regular team meetings and actively engage with team members
  • Gather data on customer feedback and comments on the floor regarding their experiences in the sportsbook
  • Ensure that all staff are adhering to compliance policies and procedures
  • Lead the team in implementing new promotions and initiatives to drive market growth
  • Ensure that cash control systems are being followed and take responsibility for rectifying any issues
  • Carefully observe all monitored customers and ensure that the team is always fully engaged in the MCR process
Requirements
  • Associate degree and/or bachelor's degree in Finance or Business-related area preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience with cash handling and sportsbook betting experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year ticket writer/cashier experience preferred
  • Strong background and in-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and betting process required
  • Union experience preferred
  • Ability to operate the Sportsbook tracking system and Title 31 software system are preferred
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license and satisfy all regulatory requirements
