Position Overview:

The Society of the Transfiguration (SOT) is in search of a transformative and principled Chief Executive Officer:
a seasoned leader in the nonprofit sector with extensive management experience, financial insight, and a collaborative spirit.

The Chief Executive Officer will be accountable for managing the Society's operations, supporting five ministry initiatives, and ensuring the effective execution of the strategic plan.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Sister Leadership to engage them in ministry-related decisions.
  • Oversee the organization's operations and administrative functions.
  • Lead the strategic planning process and its implementation.
  • Plan and monitor the annual budget effectively.
  • Enhance the visibility of the ministries.
  • Inspire and work alongside ministry directors and staff (10 direct reports, 60 total staff).
  • Strengthen the Mission through relationship building and partnerships.
  • Engage in grant writing and fundraising to boost revenue.
  • Manage marketing and communication strategies.
  • Review and authorize service contracts.
  • Administer lease agreements.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School at Bethany to support campus initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Sister Leadership.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership with transparency and integrity.
  • High-level strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills, including planning, delegating, program development, and task execution.
  • Strong financial management abilities, including budget preparation and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively convey the organization's mission to volunteers and the community.
  • Experience in managing and collaborating with staff.
  • Background in grant writing or fundraising with a track record of generating new revenue streams.
  • Success in establishing relationships with influential individuals and organizations.
