The Integrated Systems Division is in search of a **Signal Processing Solutions Engineer** to engage in research, design, and development of advanced signal and image collection, processing, and dissemination systems. The selected engineer will be tasked with creating prototype solutions to leverage digital signals, customizing tools and methodologies to effectively address mission operational requirements. The candidate will be accountable for comprehensive solutions to intricate technical challenges across various technical domains.

The individual will collaborate with a team of developers who collectively utilize geolocation principles to enhance system performance. Responsibilities include developing tools for precise geolocation through cross-aperture collection that integrates multiple sensor types. The engineer will also explore and integrate new sources for geolocation tasking. Conducting proof-of-concept experiments and feasibility assessments of innovative signal processing techniques to identify and exploit current technological gaps will be essential.

The candidate will regularly interface with program and lab leadership on critical issues affecting the lab, as well as with project managers, systems engineers, and software developers across diverse disciplines, necessitating strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize geolocation principles to develop innovative tools aimed at enhancing system performance.
  • Create cutting-edge solutions through research and the integration of best practices in digital signal processing.
  • Contribute to enterprise lab initiatives focused on innovation in digital signal exploitation and geolocation.
  • Support efforts to incorporate new sources for geolocation tasking.
  • Apply expertise to facilitate DSP research and development, operational support, and transitions to baseline operations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A BS degree in Electrical/Computer/Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, along with relevant experience, or a Master's degree with relevant experience.
  • Ability to apply best practices in support of digital signal processing activities.
  • Knowledge and experience in COMINT, ELINT, and/or FISINT collection and processing.
  • Expertise in signal processing and community-wide collection, with the ability to effectively communicate with engineers and analysts to drive operational solutions.
  • Experience with a diverse range of RF signal types.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML techniques to enhance and optimize digital signal processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in varied customer environments.
  • Must possess an active TS security clearance at a minimum, with a current CI polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with virtualized infrastructure environments (e.g., VMWare).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience in PKI management and user authentication in SIGINT processing.
  • Knowledge of SIGINT, GEOINT, and analytical experience.
  • Familiarity with X-MIDAS software.
  • Security+ certification.
Compensation: The pay range for this position is between $101,000 and $183,300. This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee compensation. Factors considered in extending an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
