Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative in our Customs Brokerage division, your primary duties will include:
- Facilitating a seamless customs process to ensure timely operations.
- Performing accurate data entry into our operational systems.
- Monitoring and reporting on customs files and tracking.
- Ensuring precise and timely billing for clients.
- Interpreting and applying the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedures to meet customer expectations.
- Transferring customs declaration data from various sources into our customs entry system to create valid declarations.
- Assisting in the verification of customs declaration information and its submission to the relevant authorities.
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience or equivalent education and training.
- A basic understanding of transportation documentation and terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively.
- Proactive organizational skills and a strong desire to learn.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Customs Brokerage Lead Agent, Supervisor, and Manager.
