Job Summary:

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for performing cycle count reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory records and managing the reduction of aged and overstocked inventory. You will also participate in management-led initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform physical cycle counts and inventory audits
Reconcile count and recounts
Ensure inventory is secured, properly identified, and readily accessible
Adjust required inventory based on counts
Make bin changes as necessary
Ensure the quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent with 1+ years related work experience
Strong computer knowledge and aptitude to learn various applications
Experience with a Warehouse Management System preferred
Knowledge of Control and SX.e a plus
Demonstrated basic knowledge of warehouse operations and supply chain management
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Must be able to work in dusty environments
Long periods working on a computer and performing repetitive keyboarding activities

May be required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment (shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.)
May be required to drive a forklift and/or operate other standard warehouse equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
May be required to pass forklift and/or other warehouse equipment certifications (written and/or driving)
Must be able to handle and work physical inventory; required to lift up to 25 lbs or greater with assistance following standard operating and safety procedures
Other physical requirements including, regularly being required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, climb, and balance
Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required
