Job Title: Research Analyst II

Duke University is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst II to join the Center for Advanced Hindsight. This is a grant-funded contract position for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on funding and other factors.

Job Summary:

The Research Analyst II will work independently and collaboratively with the research team to design, implement, and analyze studies in behavioral economics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in research methods, statistical analysis, and behavioral science principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement research studies, including literature reviews, hypothesis generation, and study designs
  • Conduct data analysis, draw conclusions from study results, and determine next steps with supervision from Research Scholars or Project Managers
  • Provide support to research studies, including programming studies in Qualtrics, creating study materials, and training research experimenters or coordinators
  • Manage relationships with partners and sponsors, including identifying opportunities for new research and ensuring partner/sponsor expectations are met
  • Provide project management, including ensuring components of projects are scheduled appropriately and delivered on-time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a social science or related field
  • 3-6 years of research experience since earning a bachelor's degree
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and ability to travel internationally for work 3-4 times in the upcoming year
  • Familiarity with all research processes and some familiarity with statistics, strong understanding of behavioral science principles, and ability to speak and write coherently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Led some kind of organization in college
  • Experience with project management
  • Has a hobby
