Job Summary

ClinLab Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Research and Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing laboratory tasks, preparing reagents, and collecting and preparing samples for testing and shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory tasks and experiments to support product development, including formulation, microbiology, and basic chemistry techniques.
  • Prepare reagents and samples for testing and shipping, ensuring high precision and sterile techniques.
  • Grow and formulate microbiological cultures and conduct microbial and other formulation studies.
  • Support the Research and Development team in the laboratory, field, and/or at production locations, including cleaning, organizing, and conducting experimental tasks.
  • Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by researching primary literature and consulting with subject matter experts.
  • Document, write, share, and/or interpret experimental results in a group setting.
  • Ensure the highest quality, integrity, and compliance standards in result interpretation and data generation.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, pharmaceutics, chemistry, or material science, or chemical engineering is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience in laboratory settings.
  • Experience in formulation, microbiology, and basic chemistry techniques is essential.
  • Some knowledge or experience in formulation of biological products is desirable.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., sit, stand, or kneel as needed, and work in various environments, including outdoors, laboratories, and production settings.
  • Ability to translate and report findings is essential.
  • Formulation and Microbiology science is a hands-on career.
