POSITION SUMMARY
The role involves the meticulous decontamination of medical equipment, trays, and instruments, ensuring they are prepared for sterilization. Responsibilities include receiving contaminated instruments post-procedure, manually cleaning them, and placing them in a washer/disinfector. After the decontamination process, you will assemble instrument trays according to specified count sheets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Properly wrap and peel pack instruments and trays to facilitate effective sterilization.
- Load and operate sterilizers for immediate usage of instruments.
- Assist in conducting chemical and biological monitoring, ensuring all tests are accurately documented.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred experience of at least 6 months in a similar role.
- Possession of an Instrumental Technician Certificate is required.
