About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Career Coach to join our team at Sample Supports. As a Career Coach, you will play a vital role in helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach individuals with disabilities in real-life job skills, providing the necessary supports to maintain employment in the community.
  • Communicate effectively with workplace supervisors, team members, and family members to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide on-site training, instruction, supervision, and advocacy for individuals at community job sites.
  • Support individuals in increasing independence in their workplace and community.
Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to transport individuals in services.
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the position, including physically intervening with individuals who pose a safety threat, working with unpredictable and aggressive individuals, and maintaining calm and professional intervention during escalated moments.
Training and Support

Sample Supports offers comprehensive training in Trauma-Informed Care, Positive Behavior Development, Developmental & Intellectual Disabilities, CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Ethics of Social Work and Social Services, and Rights of People with Disabilities.
