Position Overview

This role is considered safety-sensitive.

The Facility Maintenance Technician is tasked with ensuring the upkeep of the warehouse premises and machinery, adhering to specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic diagrams, utilizing hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and measuring instruments.

  • Conducts routine safety assessments of the building, grounds, and equipment, which includes roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, fire safety systems, exit doors, dock levelers, dock doors, and pallet racking.
  • Evaluates and tests machinery and equipment, diagnosing mechanical issues. Disassembles faulty machines and equipment, installing new or repaired components, in accordance with specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring tools and hand tools.
  • Installs, fabricates, modifies, and dismantles conveyors, equipment, offices, and other structures.
  • Prepares cost estimates for materials, labor, and time required for assigned projects.
  • Exhibits proficiency in MIG, Arc, and Gas Welding techniques.
  • Coordinates and schedules vendor visits as necessary to support site and operational needs.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of five years of experience as a maintenance technician in a related field, or three years of experience with a trade school equivalent to two years of experience.
