This is a safety-sensitive position that requires regular safety inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment. The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the overall maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, fork lift, and measuring and testing instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety inspections on the building, grounds, and equipment, including roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, fire systems, exit doors, dock levelers, dock doors, and pallet racking.
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment, and diagnose mechanical problems. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Install, fabricate, modify, and demolish conveyors, equipment, offices, and other structures.
  • Prepare estimates, including materials, labor, and time needed for assigned projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in MIG, Arc, and Gas Welding.
  • Track and schedule vendor visits as required to support site and business operations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years minimum experience as a maintenance technician in a related industry or three years' experience with a trade school equivalent to two years' experience.
