This on-site position involves managing accounting tasks for our property management portfolio to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Regularly perform bank reconciliations to verify payments and cleared checks.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger charts for each property and classify items properly.
  • Manage weekly accounts payable workflow and provide regular reviews.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, vendors, and bank partners, addressing their needs promptly.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial reports, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in creating annual budgets and conducting annual reconciliations for recoverable charges.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of 1099 forms to meet IRS deadlines.
  • Create and distribute monthly management and maintenance invoices for each property.
  • Oversee the tenant chargeback process for tenant-paid expenses.
  • Review aged receivables monthly and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Track property tax payments and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • Detailed-oriented and flexible.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with AppFolio or Bill.com is a plus but not required.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in property or facilities management.
