The successful applicant will assist project teams during the construction administration phase, ensuring that projects are carried out effectively and in alignment with design specifications. This role may require travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the architect in managing the contractual obligations of the design team.
- Evaluate and authorize submittals related to the MEP scope of work.
- Address RFIs connected to the MEP scope of work.
- Conduct regular site inspections (typically monthly) to assess construction progress and ensure compliance with construction documents.
- Perform final walkthroughs and document any items that do not meet construction document standards.
- Participate in virtual meetings on a monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly basis, depending on project needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with a keen problem-solving aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with construction documentation and contract management.
- Understanding of building codes and construction standards.
- Experience with construction management software.
