Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Project Manager assumes project management responsibilities with supervision. This role assists with the development of client communication and overall project progress reports. They adhere to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan. The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with architects, engineers, and other key project stakeholders to successfully complete the project. They manage and mentor Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the project procurement process and overall bidding strategy for the project, including assisting with the development of a bidder's list and work scopes. They receive and evaluate bids and assist with post-bid reviews.
  • Assists the Project Manager with the preparation and monitoring of the general conditions budget.
  • Monitors a single element cash flow and manpower projection analysis and enters monthly actuals. They regularly monitor, update, and report project costs internally to the Project Manager. They support jobsite cash management, including monitoring job profitability and the timeliness of payment from the owner.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly owner project status reports and financial performance, as required.
  • Facilitates the subcontractor pay application process and assists with the creation of the owner billing.
  • Facilitates productivity reporting for one or more self-perform trades.
  • Maintains and monitors project schedules. They identify resource requirements and gaps in the schedule to assist with the enforcement of the schedule with contractors in the field and to support the superintendent.
  • Manages cost control in accordance with standard practices. They receive, review, and evaluate contractor quotations for changes and negotiate appropriate costs. They create cost items in SAP for any change in price. They assist in processing change orders.
  • Manages a low-risk subset of the project, such as a particular phase or deliverable.


Requirements:

  • Four to six years of experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour preferred.
  • Healthcare and/or higher education project experience preferred but not required.
