Job Summary

The Field Engineer I will play a pivotal role in supporting project activities, conducting site inspections, and ensuring that construction projects progress smoothly and according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety compliance.
  • Surveying and Measurements: Assist in surveying and measuring construction layouts, dimensions, and elevations using survey equipment and tools.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers, and construction teams to ensure efficient project coordination and communication.
  • Quality Assurance: Support quality control efforts by conducting inspections and verifying compliance with project quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Promote and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines on the construction site.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to construction activities, materials, and progress to support decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering (internships or co-op experience is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and often outdoor construction environment.
