Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient services, addressing patients with a compassionate, friendly, and caring attitude.
- Accurately collect and record patients' vital statistics, allergies, medications, and concerns.
- Prepare exam rooms, stock and maintain supplies and equipment, and ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Effectively assist with prescriptions and authorizing drug refill requests.
- Triage messages, route, and relay information to staff, providers, and patients in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed notes in patients' electronic records.
- Maintain confidentiality for patients in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including back-up infusion room medical assistant duties.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited education institution.
- Current CPR certification a plus.
- California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license a plus.
- Two years of work experience in venipuncture.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong customer service background, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Competence with computer processing functions and other standard office equipment.
- 401K.
