MRI Technologist Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist responsible for executing diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures within the MRI department, adhering to physician directives.

  • Conduct quality assurance assessments on imaging equipment and operational areas
  • Utilize imaging machinery to generate scans following established protocols
  • Clearly identify and articulate procedures to patients
  • Initiate IV access and administer contrast media as instructed
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
  • Provide instruction to students and residents as needed
  • Assist in managing inventory of supplies

Compensation Range: $53.23 per hour

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Experienced candidates should possess MRI training accredited by ARRT or ARMRIT.

Inexperienced candidates must hold certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography.

An Associate's Degree is preferred.

Experience: Prior MRI experience is preferred.

Licensure:

Must be registered with ARRT or ARMRIT.

Registration in X-Ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy is required.

MRI Certification must be obtained within 9 months of employment.

AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification is mandatory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Exposure to various elements such as dust, noise, radiation, and infectious diseases may occur.
