Join a dynamic and patient-centered team at UVA Imaging, where we are currently in search of a skilled MRI Supervisor for a full-time role at our outpatient imaging facility. *A sign-on incentive of $5,000 is available (subject to applicable taxes with a one-year commitment)*
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under the guidance of the Administrator, Clinical Manager, or Director of Center Operations, the Clinical Supervisor:
- Oversees and organizes clinical functions within designated areas of the Imaging Department, including equipment management, personnel oversight, scheduling, financial operations, and customer service.
- Must possess the necessary skills and qualifications to execute the responsibilities for the areas under their supervision.
- Ensures that services are delivered in a secure environment, adhering to established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Acts as a vital member of the imaging center team, actively seeking and providing feedback to enhance clinical practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five years of experience in medical imaging is required. Comprehensive knowledge of departmental functions is essential for effective staff supervision.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine technology, or equivalent experience.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must fulfill state licensure requirements for the practice location. BLS certification is required within the first 60 days of employment.
Radiologic Technologists must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration from ARRT.
Additionally, an advanced registration through ARRT in another modality is required or must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Proficient in operating radiographic equipment and related ancillary devices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Capable of providing accurate and concise documentation.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
