  • Route Oversight: Monitor the route and remain alert to ensure the welfare of passengers while in transit.
  • Communication: Communicate behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Assist in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is safe and ready for operation.
  • Student Support: Assist students in the loading and unloading process, and cooperate with school personnel, students, and parents.
  • Safety and Training: Attend all safety and training meetings, and conduct emergency evacuations from the bus.
  • Bus Maintenance: Clean the inside of the bus, and assist the driver when necessary to safely direct the vehicle backwards.
Requirements
  • Good Communication Skills: Possess good verbal communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure the safe transportation of students and passengers.
  • Early Morning Availability: Be available to work early morning shifts to accommodate the transportation schedule.
  • Judgement and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess judgement and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations.
  • Ability to Manage Stress: Be able to manage high degrees of stress in a fast-paced environment.
