Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Support Specialist to join our team at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. As a key member of our Philadelphia District Office, you will play a critical role in delivering administrative programs and services to support the office's operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in gathering historical data, budget requests, and management inputs for the preparation of the District's annual Operating Plan and Budget Request.
  • Develop and maintain the District's Accountable/Sensitive Property Inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Serve as the District's point of contact for administrative files, providing status updates and ensuring proper records management procedures are followed.
  • Manage the Federal Personnel and Payroll system (FPPS), processing personnel actions such as transfers, promotions, and changes in hours.
  • Prepare reports and conduct research into time card issues and problems, monitoring time card amendments to ensure cards have been released by OHR.
  • Provide information on administrative issues requiring immediate attention, developing recommendations and solutions for consideration and implementation.
  • Prepare analyses and recommendations for senior management officials on problems or issues concerning resources, space management, equipment, or other administrative areas.
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service, such as:

  • Performing a wide variety of administrative support services and analytical work for an assigned functional or organizational area.

OR One full year of graduate-level education in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.

OR Superior Academic Achievement: To qualify based on superior academic achievement, you must have completed the requirements for a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND meet certain GPA requirements or membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for this grade level.
