St. David's Round Rock Medical Center offers a rewarding career opportunity for an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our team in Austin, Texas.
About the JobWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to provide high-quality care to critically ill newborns in our Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of care.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a well-baby nursery or a Level 2 or 3 Nursery as a Registered Nurse (RN), preferably in acute care. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but not required. Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License is necessary. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification are also required.
You will be responsible for performing patient assessments, developing a plan of care, and implementing and evaluating care on infants. You will attend deliveries, perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments of newborns, create a plan of care, administer medications, and complete treatments according to hospital policy.
