Cost Accounting Manager


Our client, a leading firm in the Consumer Goods and Services sector, is seeking a dedicated Cost Accounting Manager to enhance their expanding team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:


In this role, you will play a crucial part in establishing strong procedures for inventory management, accounts payable, and treasury operations that align with our client's global growth objectives.

Your expertise in technical accounting will enable you to pinpoint areas for process enhancement and streamline operations, while your leadership skills will foster a high-performing team environment.

This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Oversee the month-end closing activities related to Inventory and Accounts Payable, delivering insightful analysis to stakeholders regarding budget variances.

Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of Accounts Payable processes.

Manage estimates for Inventory and Accounts Payable across the organization.

Collaborate across departments to guarantee accurate calculations and support for accruals and reserves, adhering to US GAAP standards.

Ensure timely completion of all necessary account reconciliations.

Lead the treasury function, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support ongoing operations and future expansion. Liaise with the parent company to fulfill all corporate treasury requirements.

Guide and mentor a high-performing team, helping them achieve their technical and professional aspirations.

Develop robust, scalable processes to facilitate the ongoing growth of the organization in various markets. Ensure comprehensive documentation for key policies and procedures, including internal controls.



QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline; CPA designation preferred.
7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in consumer products or manufacturing sectors.
3+ years of supervisory experience.
Deep understanding and application of US GAAP.
Strong grasp of internal controls and a holistic view of accounting processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion is advantageous.
Experience in supporting expanding global businesses is preferred.
