Job Summary

The Teller position at OakStar Bank is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and performing routine branch and customer services duties. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide customers with information about bank products and services, and refer them to other bank staff as needed.
  • Operate a cash register and handle cash, checks, and other financial transactions.
  • Assist customers with balance inquiries, account openings, and other banking services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to bank policies and procedures.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, and provide support to other bank staff as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of related experience and/or training, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of banking operations, terminology, and products and services.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate interest and balance accounts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
