About Our Mission:

We are a certified Core Service Agency (CSA) by the District of Columbia Department of Behavioral Health (DC DBH), providing comprehensive mental health rehabilitation services to children, youth, and families. Our goal is to provide high-quality, person-centered services that address the unique needs of each individual.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Family Therapist who is passionate about working with children and families. As a member of our multidisciplinary clinical team, you will be responsible for providing social-emotional/mental health services to children and youth between the ages of 5 to 18. Your expertise will help individuals overcome challenges such as depression, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss, anger management, attachment issues, community resources, play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, dance/movement therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and eating disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychotherapy/counselling to assigned caseload of clients aged 5-18 years old and/or their families.
  • Collaborate with client's family, school, and community stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain client records per program confidentiality guidelines and fidelity.
  • Monitor and track caseload requirements.
  • Provide referrals to external/internal support.
  • Ability to observe behavior and appropriately intervene in situations posing a threat to children/youth.
  • Ability to work independently and participate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to exercise professional independent judgment in planning own work, formulating recommendations, and making decisions.
  • Participate in staff consultation/development/training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, counseling, psychology, or other related field.
  • Must be licensed in Washington, D.C. (Psychologist, LICSW, LPC, LGSW, LCPC, PhD).
  • Experience in Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Must adhere to clinical documentation requirements.

Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
