The Quality Coordinator will oversee and facilitate various quality-related activities.

Key responsibilities include managing and tracking the disposition of RMAs and returned products, overseeing off-site storage of essential quality and manufacturing documentation, and administering document control processes.

This role also involves supporting the Corrective Action (CAR) process by assisting in the investigation of potential and actual defect sources identified through customer complaints or internal assessments, containing affected products, retrieving archived production records (both electronic and hardcopy), and aiding process owners in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

The Quality Coordinator will conduct audits of production processes, incoming material Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and work-in-progress to ensure adherence to consistent practices and process discipline.

Additionally, this position will support the ISO 9001 internal audit program, which includes performing audits and documenting findings.

Collaboration with engineers, managers, and associates across various departments is essential, requiring professional communication skills, both verbal and written, in all interactions.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess materials returned through the RMA process, monitoring NCMIRs related to product returns to ensure resolution of all action items.
- Manage the controlled document system, including verifying submitted documents against procedures and overseeing approval processes.
- Conduct audits of production processes, finished products, COAs, and work-in-progress to ensure consistent practices and process discipline. Provide objective quality assessments and present results to the Quality Manager, offering feedback to team leaders and managers.
- Investigate potential and actual defect sources identified through customer complaints or internal monitoring.
- Assist in product containment and segregation efforts.
- Utilize electronic systems and hardcopy filing systems to access historical production records to support corrective actions.
- Aid process owners in root cause identification and corrective action implementation.
- Perform ISO 9001-based internal audits and generate associated reports.
- Participate in monthly team performance meetings.
- Lead special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager and Quality Director.
- Engage in special project teams and execute initiatives to enhance current processes.
- Compile data and metrics for monthly Quality Reports and departmental meetings.

Adhere to and promote the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFL.

Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing-related industries.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.

- Previous quality auditing experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Oracle preferred, but not required.
